The ‘Albert’ is regarded as one of the greatest examples of high Victorian Architecture in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The brief was to restore the historic monument to its original condition. It represented the largest carved stone restoration project ever undertaken in Ireland. Modern technology combined with skilled craftsmanship achieved outstanding results. The detailing of the spire and canopy over the carving of Prince Albert proved remarkably complex and the sheer quantity of carved stone was a particular challenge that was more than met by the highly experienced team.
